Purpose: The Summer Blast Day Camp of Calvary Christian School is intended to provide an informal, safe, and fun environment for parents who need summer care for their children. This environment will be rooted in our Christian faith while supporting the Christian worldview of parents who use the program for their children.

Dates: Monday - Friday, June 5 through August 18 (11 weeks). Hours are from 6:30 AM until 6:30 PM or shorter depending on parental needs.

Enrollment: Limited to 28 children, K4-6th grade. Additional students may be added if we can facilitate additional van or bus transportation for the field trips. Because this is a ministry to the CCS community, a child must be registered for the 2017-2018 school year at Calvary Christian School in order to attend this camp.

Cost: A $35.00 non-refundable registration fee is due with the application. There are two options available for enrollment. First: The cost for the 11 week summer camp will be $1900. This will be payable in five (5) installments of $380 on June 5 & 20, July 5 & 20, and August 6. These payments will be collected by bank draft just like normal school tuition is collected. No other discounts or refunds will be made for days missed by a camper. Families with two children will receive a 10% discount and families with three or more children will receive a 20% discount. Second: A student may be enrolled on a weekly basis. The cost for each week is $195 which is due Monday of week being used. Additionally, the weeks must be chosen upon registration to assure we do not accept more students than we can transport. There are no adjustments made for days missed during a week that a student is registered.

Activities: Events like daily devotions, swimming, arts and crafts, computer classes, music classes, afternoon activities such as Putt-Putt, bowling, movies, sports, hiking, etc. will take place during camp. A schedule will be published in advance. Day trips will be on most Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Transport will be by bus, van, or private vehicle.

Food: Children are to bring a lunch in a disposable container and morning snack. An afternoon snack is provided. Please watch the weekly calendar for days when lunch is served at the afternoon event.

To Bring: Parents should send their child prepared for that day’s activities as shown on the published schedule. Weather and staffing needs may occasionally require schedule changes. Modest dress will be expected. Students who legally are required to be in car seats must have a seat provided that can be left at the camp over the summer. We will not be able to move car seats in and out of the vehicles once they are put in place. This may require you to purchase a car seat. The student’s name must be clearly marked on the top of the seat, and children must ride in their own seat. Children who do not have a car seat will be required to miss that day’s trip.
